Agent Ghost

Compared to the average gamer I'm strong in everything (most of us are).  The average gamer is not competitive.  I compare myself to those who specialize in each category.  For example I'm good with Strategy games if you compare me to all gamers but probably average if you compare me exclusively with strategy game players.  With this in mind, I'm average in most games.

I'd say same goes for me. I ain't all that big on the whole playing only one type of game and being competitive at it. Not that I don't enjoy competing. When I do...I don't suck but neither am I great then.

Weaknesses:
-FPS
-2D Fighting games (trying to work on it with SF4 though)
-Strategy games (except Fire Emblem)
-GH/RB games (there's always certain songs I simply can't beat on extreme)

Strengths:
-RPG's
-Action/Stealth games
-3D Fighters (Got to love Virtua Fighter)
-Platformers
-Racers

For the racers prefer simulation over arcade though I do look forward to the new outrun coming out.
But certain F1 mods for Rfactor are still my main things when it comes to competing. Fully customizable car set up. Strategic racing. Very good drivers to compete with online and doing 100%  full F1 seasons. I like it, it pushes me to the limit and it's one thing I'm actually pretty damn good at.

I dont get that. 3D Fighting games play exactly the same, with only the addition of a sidestep button. Or have I missed something since I stopped caring about fighting games?

Yeah, you've missed a lot.

Strength: Fighting games

Weakness: Sports games...because I never play them.
I'm also pretty bad at strategy games because I lose interest in them pretty quickly. I can't even understand WHY someone would want to play a multiplayer stategy game.

Everwhere else I'm pretty average.

Yeah, you've missed a lot.

No, I havent. All fighting games play as 2D anyway, with the exception of environmental hazards(no, not greenhouse gases) and a side-step move.

So you're saying they play exactly the same except for the stuff that forces you to play differently.

Ok...I agree.

Also, I'm completely bald except for the places on my head where hair grows.

How about Fatal Fury where you can jump back and forth between different planes to avoid attacks, etc?

So obviously the majority of the action doesnt take place in 2D? Sigh.

It's a fight between two characters. They move towards each other or away from each other. So, yes in that respect the action is mostly 2D.
The only way to vary that is to vary the angle of approach,  i.e. sidestep.

However, sidestepping changes strategy significantly. The good 3D fighters all have moves that are designed to counter or avoid attacks from the side. If you don't master those techniques a person who has done his homework will crush you.

If you ignore the changes in a genre that force different strategies of course they all seem the same.

2D fighters are usually 5x faster as well.

Isnt the New Outrun Just the same as the one released on the PC last year? (but maxed out  at lower 720p resolution)

And therefore 5x more worth playing. I really dont give a damn about most fighting games, but Marvel vs Capcom 2 can still suck me in for hours at a time.

I always thought that was a cool feature in Fatal Fury 1 & 2, not so much with later editions. I rather enjoyed the simplicity and unpolished nature of the original Fatal Fury.

Strengths - I can pretty much turn my hand to any game (except fighting ones which I loathe), and I'm a good team player. Also when I am on form, I am very very good.

Weaknesses - Jack of all trades and master of none. Incredibly inconsistent; I can play two games back to back one of which I will be awesome, the next I will mega-suck. And for no good reason too.
