I still consider the opening ceremonies in Beijing one of the most impressive Olympic openings.

The most impressive, in my opinion. The drum work was stunning. I shit a few bricks when they killed the lights, and their drumsticks were glow-in-the-dark orange.

If China does have one thing going for it, it's knowing how to effectively implement large crowds of people.

Oh, and am I the only one who wanted to wheel about 2000 lazy-boys up to those poor clapping dancing tennis-outfit wearing asian girls at the country procession?
