When farmers from the 10th century celebrated that their crops grew well that year and had a festival? IDK

Last year sucked, this years managed to top it. Not only did I get the flu the day after (all that food still sitting inside me for only the briefest of moments) ,but I also find out I missed a payment on my speeding citation and will now have my license suspended for 2 years as well as risk 5 days in jail if I don't pay the increased fine quickly.

Fuck Thanksgiving!

It's the U.S. version of a harvest festival. The Canadian version is called by the same name, but it's a different day.

There's some traditional nonsense we all are taught in elementary school about colonists and native americans, but that would make a pretty silly reason for a holiday considering the eventual outcome of that relationship.

This is a special time of year for Americans. The 1 time a year we get to celebrate committing genocide and stealing the land of an inferior people. So everyone be sure to be gluttonous and say a thank you to your chosen God or whatever that your people created guns and werent as prone to small pox, the common cold, or the hundreds of other European diseases we brought with us.
