I'm on my 3rd handset, but i still love the thing. The first stopped making or receiving calls, and the ringer on/off switch on the side fell off the second. I took them back to the store and walked away with new handsets within minutes, no ID required or anything. Apple's customer service is impressive if nothing else.

What's funny is that his objection probably has everything to do with protecting his image and not wanting to give Apple any publicity. His wife probably made this public out of spite. I sense some new iPod commercials.
