Saw the move last weekend and nodded off 5 friggin times while watching it. In addition to being a little tired the movie just failed to hold my attention for long. I'm a Sci-fi fanatic but I just couldn't connect with the movie at all.

Great movie. Started off a bit mixed but really picked up and got going. I think many are going in expecting something entirely different and will be caught off guard for better or worse.

Since no one will bother to look it up the movie is 1hr 53 minutes. Peter Jackson is a producer not director.

Thank God. I'm glad I won't have to see 15 ten min. scenes of the camera zooming in on Jack Black's ass and not contributing to anything at all.

Armond White is such a piece of shit. Whenever there is a big blockbuster he always goes against popular opinion. I don't even think he watches the movies.

Rotten Tomatoes can go shove it. The same site that gave TDK like a fucking 95, but yet gives every other movie a 20. The only RT review I've ever agreed with was Iron Man at either 89 or 91. My hatred for RT aside, I think the movie will be pretty good, despite the fact that it'll probably be long as fuck.

Looks like it's trying to be a psuedo-documentary. Expect lots of shaky-cam (which is par for the course with movies these days anyway since tripods have been outlawed in Hollywood).

Aintitcool is talking it up pretty good. Then again they enjoyed the GI Joe movie...regardless I'm gonna try and get into the AICN screening here in Minneappolis. The Chicago screen will have the director for a Q&A, maybe he'll make the short trip north and head to the screening here also.
