No no no. We don't even have that naming glitch here. In fact as an inside joke I think some Canadian companies even named actual bacon as Canadian bacon. It was Americans that did that for some reason. Bacon is not a Canadian icon in the first place, I think it dates back from that stupid movie "Canadian Bacon", but it had nothing to do with bacon, that's just the guys name.

I'm actually thankful for that piece of info. It seriously just made my day.

Congratulations buddy! Are you still thinking about opening your own store?

That's the plan... or at least it was the plan before I gave up all hope and started making other plans for staying here. I guess it's back to my original plan to open up a shop. I have a ridiculous amount of stuff to tie up now though, including a house to sell and a girlfriend to appease (because she's just started doing a Masters Degree). I'm going to be busy.

I have to figure out where i'm going to go too. Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and Ottawa were all high on my list, and as much as I love Calgary, I think i'll probably end up in Ottawa. I need to sell my house here and buy something there... or rent... I dunno yet... I've been caught completely off guard.

After being rejected and deemed inadmissible on the grounds of an existing conviction... and then undergoing "rehabilitation"... I re-applied for residency in Canada... and have been accepted :-) Yay!

I need to send my passport to London to obtain my Permanant Resident Visa (when I get back from Spain)... and then I will have to land before July next year.

I'm still kinda in shock. I re-applied but didn't expect much to come of it... but now i'm finally been given the opportunity i've been chasing for nearly 6 years...
