New Sony Ericsson phones, rumours of Playstation Cell Phone - Jun 15, 2007 20:17
The new camera phone K850 looks excellent and powerful enough

My personal favourite and one that I will probably buy is the new Walkman phone W960
W960 ARTICLE

The other new Walkman phone, W910, apparently has some " Wii-mote" features as you can switch tracks by moving the phone

The new feature Shake control will allow W910 users to skip tracks backwards and forward with a mere shake of their handset. A double shake back and forth shuffles the current playlist. The Shake control will add new dimensions to mobile gaming too.

Mobile gaming goes Wii? It seems so.
At the same time Sony Ericsson has tried for a patent in the US for a new videogame phone. According to their plans it' s supposed to be working with the Playstation module.
It is not decided if it will borrow the Playstation brand (like the walkman and cyber-shot brands) because they will first evaluate if the SE or PS brands might be compromised when combining the two.

SE is also introducing the new GPS enabler which gives you GPS features through a headset.

the new Sony Ericsson GPS Enabler HGE-100, also announced today, which is in fact a GPS receiver integrated into a stereo headset. Once you plug the GPS Enabler, the phone turns into a satellite navigation system which offers dynamic voice instructions. An additional benefit of using such an accessory is the opportunity to monitor your workouts with the " Tracker" GPS application and collect information on speed and distance as well as get visual post-training analysis. According to Sony Ericsson the GPS Enabler should be compatible with all Sony Ericsson mobile phones with Java support from Sony Ericsson K800 onwards.

They have also announced the mid-level phone K530

as well as the simple but very stylish phones Z320 and Z250

But will Sony Ericsson be able to compete with what gsmarena called the best phone on the market, the Nokia N95?

N95 review

Till today I have never had the courage to name any phone like the best one on the market with clear conscience. But Nokia N95 does deserve this label. It has no adequate competitors on the current mobile market: it is extremely rich in functions, has a comfortable and detailed user interface with plenty of settings, and on the top of it, it is a relatively light and compact.

And if you don' t want to wait for the iPhone, why not get the ultra stylish LG KE850 Prada phone?
