When you get older (say, over 13) you' ll realize games are meant to be played, not to try to act out what you seen in them.

Kids like this are the reason there' s so many school shootings and juvenile delinquency in the world, the little retards think they should do everything they see on games and TV.

And FYI the original Tony Hawk was such a huge hit because it was simply a fun game to play, people who' ve never even touched a skateboard in their lives loved it. People who hate football would never play NFL2KX, people who hate basketball would never play NBA2KX, but people who hate skating would still play Tony Hawk.

I last played Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3....

Can someone tell me where 4, 5, 6 and 7 went??

My favourite is Pro Skater 2... Not the game, the demo..

I had 1, 3, & 4.

I played 2 but didn' t like it enough to buy it. It was pretty much the same shit as part 1, part 3 brought radical gameplay changes, part 4 was pretty much the same shit as part 3 but with larger levels and the beggining of the stupid story mode, still liked it though, but my favorite is part 3.

Tony Hawks Underground = Part 5
Tony Hawk' s Underground 2 = Part 6
Tony Hawk' s American Wasteland = Part 7.

All of the above 3 were pretty much the same shit as part 3 & 4 except with ridiculous story modes.

Part 8 looks to bring huge gameplay changes like part 3 did, and is supposed to have less of that story shit and is more about plain skating like 1-3 were.

That' s it, they went under the Underground names... So that' s where they went..

Well number 2 was my favourite, I think I didn' t play the Underground' s because I
was sidetracked by Jet Set Radio on the Dreamcast and the X-box..

The Underground ones allowed you to take your board and run around the streets
and jump up builings like a raving King-Kong wannabe didn' t they?

When the demo comes, I will try it, if it plays well and fluid I' ll settle for my first
Tony Hawks game in about 3 or 4 years..

Yeah, the undergrounds were retarded.

I hated the story cutscenes and retarded free-roaming gameplay. It' s like they tried to merge GTA with Tony Hawk 3.

Actually around that time another good skating game was released, I think it was called in-line skating or something, but it was with skates not skateboards, that was a pretty good replacement for Tony Hawk during those days but I think the developers of that game were bought out by Activision/Neversoft, which make Tony Hawk.

Was that " Aggressive In-Line Skating" ? I tried to play it, it was kind of like
Tony Hawks on skates, but then I was just hooked on Jet Set Radio.

I didn' t like the aspect of Underground where you could get off your board,
because just looking at the animation, it' s like the team didn' t know how
to animate a running/walking character. He just ran like a chicken mixed with an
elephant, it was stupid.

I liked the E3 demo for Tony Hawks 8... Pity it looked more like a target demo
than actual gameplay. It was the first time in ages I had been excited about
a Tony Hawks Pro Skater game.. Haven' t seen anything gameplay-wise since,
so I' m kinda hoping that the demo they release is an up-to-date version of how
the game will play, instead of an old " TGS 2K5" demo.

The demo is up now, it' s only 350MB though so it' s probabaly very short, downloading now.

JSR isnt even the same kind of game as TH, that' s like saying I didn' t play Splinter Cell, because I prefered GTA, makes no sense.

How do you even use the " focus mode" ?

It' s exactly the same as other Tony Hawk games but in high res, graphics arent that great but I never expected them to be. I liked the level though.

I couldn' t use focus mode or anything " new" so it was like playing Tony Hawk 3 in high rez.

Seems ok as a demo, last one of the games I liked was on the DC.

Seem to be stretching the credibility of " rebuilt from the ground up" comments on the E3 trailers tho.

Just noticed the grass is terrible between the paving. Still, already ten times better than the underpants underground version.

*edit focus mode effects look kinda cool, bit like fear when it was new.

THP8 is pretty much alright not all that great, even for a next-gen console, it plays and feel the same as the past THPS series. The demo itself is over 350+mb, some of you THPS fan' s out there is gonna love it, but for me I' ll pass on this.
The focus mode seem to happen by random when you bust out a trick.

Ok just checked yup I played it and it was pretty fun the way you make you own moves during those slomo segments was cool.
